Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Sound Bath?
A Sound Bath is a deeply meditative experience where you lie down (or sit, if preferred) and are immersed in the soothing vibrations of sound. The harmonic frequencies of various instruments are designed to calm the mind, balance energy, and promote relaxation.
What are some of the benefits of attending a sound bath?
Sound baths can support a wide range of experiences, including:
Encouraging deep relaxation
Supporting inner balance and energetic flow
Helping ease stress and anxious thoughts
Quieting the mind
Uplifting mood and emotional clarity
Supporting more restful sleep
Enhancing focus and mental clarity
Inviting a sense of rejuvenation and presence
Can children attend a Sound Bath?
Children of all ages are welcome at private sound bath sessions. However, in public group settings, we ask that parents consider their child’s ability to remain quiet and still during the session, as the environment is sound-sensitive. Trust your intuition about what’s best for your child and the group.
Who should not attend a Sound Bath?
While sound baths are safe and beneficial for most people, they may not be suitable for:
Individuals with severe sound sensitivity or sound-triggered conditions.
Those with a history of sound-induced seizures (e.g., epilepsy).
Anyone with pacemakers or other electronic implants, as the vibrations may interfere with their function.
If you are unsure whether a sound bath is suitable for you, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. No prior experience with meditation or sound work is needed. Sound baths are designed to be accessible to all.
What happens during Sound Bath?
A sound bath is an immersive experience where you lie or sit comfortably while instruments such as crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes are played. The layered tones and frequencies create a rich soundscape that encourages relaxation and presence.
What will I feel during a session?
Everyone’s experience is unique. Some feel deeply relaxed, others notice physical sensations, emotions, or even imagery arising. There’s no ‘right’ way to experience a sound bath. Simply come with an open mind and allow the sounds to meet you where you are.
Do i need to bring anything?
We recommend bringing a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow so you can lie down comfortably. Some people also like to bring an eye mask or journal to capture reflections after the session.
